Major David Piller joined the Henderson Police Department as a Reserve Officer in 1988. He was hired as a full time Police Officer on June 9, 1989. Over the course of his career, he has served as a Patrol Officer in the Traffic and Patrol Division, as an Identification Officer in the Investigation Division, as the Identification Sergeant and as a Lieutenant in the Traffic and Patrol Division.
He was promoted to Major in April of 2009 and is assigned as the Administrative Bureau Major. His duties include responsibility for the Civilian Staff at the Police Department including the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center.
Major Piller has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville. He is also a graduate of the 108th Administrative Officers Course of the Southern Police Institute.
He is married and has four children, 2 boys and 2 girls.
